#STEAM PLAYERS SURVIVE THE NIGHTS MOD#
DayZ mod ( Origins (shoddy dev team, earning money from Dean "Rocket" Hall's original DayZ mod work, but nevertheless a great take on the DayZ mod))/ Epoch/ Overwatch).I have googled my eyes out for the past few months to do research and look for games that I could enjoy, and I own a lot (if not all) of the big titles within survival/crafting/open world. So, my main key words are probably, in this order, immersion, loot, exploration, crafting, primary needs (hunger/thirst/health), base-building, atmosphere, discovery, stealth You have some water with you that you picked up from a marsh, and you have some meat from a pig you killed earlier, but unfortunately no way to prepare it to kill off the harmful bacteria, because your matches are wet and you haven't got any kindle to start a fire.Īlso, your leg is twisted so you can't really venture that far to scavenge anything from the woods outside, not to mention that it's pitch black and dangerous without a light.
#STEAM PLAYERS SURVIVE THE NIGHTS HOW TO#
You know how to build a tent and camp fire, how to hunt, scavenge and utilize what you find to create weapons and tools.
You're feeling a bit cold and very hungry, but you're relieved that you have a dry place to stay for the night. You haven't seen a living person in weeks, except for the slaver/cannibal tribe you hid from last week while hiding in a bush. You're sitting in a lonely cabin on a cold autumn night, listening to the rain hammering on the windows. I think the easiest way to describe what I like, personally, is to just set the mood So, in hopes of getting even more awesome survival game recommendations and tips, I post this list of what I have personally found so far in my internet and gaming adventures. I purchased it and I've put something like 8 hours into that game in 2 days, it's amazing. I tried the Neo Scavenger online demo yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised and instantly addicted. I am still looking for THE game to satisfy my survival game urges, though. Hi everyone, I am a big fan of survival and crafting games, preferably the very brutal kind, where you start with nothing at all and are left to fend for yourself. Keep in mind that the sorting is based on my personal opinions and reviews.
