The Workout run also has a warm up and cold down period that automatically switches over too so you don't have to even start a new run, the Workout run has it all from start to finish. Example: i can set it for reps of distance like 4x400m or reps of time like 3x4:00 with a rest period that my watch automatically switches to so i have dont even have to press the buttons. The watch has a "workout" that you can edit. I no longer carry my phone with me during runs because my watch is more comfortable.
I don't even use the garmin app since I use strava and NRC to keep track of it. After my run, the watch syncs (when I get home to wifi) and both apps are updated. I connect my garmin account to both Strava and NRC.
